Mr. Kaye spoke on a panel discussion, led by Hogan Paschal of Fishman Haygood, called “The Crazy World of Crypto Litigation,” where he gave a primer on blockchain technologies and related crypto assets, and discussed his recent representation of investor clients victimized by the collapses of the FTX and Voyager crypto trading platforms, and sales of unregistered securities in connection with the Binance Platform and Shaquille O’Neal’s Astrals NFT project. Mr. Kaye was joined by Brooke Alexander and Alex Boies of Boies Schiller Flexner, and Marshal Hoda of The Hoda Law Firm.

Mr. Kaye’s presentation was one of six that took place on Friday. Additional presentations included a presentation on the $280M Navient student loan settlement with Adam Shaw of Boies Schiller Flexner and Jason Burge of Fishman Haygood, and a presentation on recent developments in the enforcement of international arbitration awards with Matthew Kirkland of Norton Rose Fulbright, and Molly Wells of Fishman Haygood.

Mr. Kaye serves on the steering committee and co-chairs the briefing committee in the FTX crypto-exchange class and multidistrict litigation, representing Voyager Digital, EmpiresX, and Binance crypto investors. He also represented victims of the tragic Champlain Towers South condo collapse in Surfside, Florida, leading to a historic, billion-dollar recovery. Mr. Kaye has also been instrumental in favorably expanding the law for plaintiffs on issue certification and class-wide jury trials.

Attorneys Adam Moskowitz and David Boies will be heading up the FTX Multidistrict litigation cases. United States District Judge Michael Moore oversaw the hearing where the determination was made. Attorney Adam Moskowitz says:

"David Boies and I are honored for Judge Moore’s confidence and are grateful to have many of the best lawyers in the country, helping us fight here in Miami for all FTX victims."
